About me

I’m Chris, a local portrait artist based in Clacton-On-Sea. I been painting for about 10 years now and I enjoy experimenting with bold colours and painterly effects as apposed to just copying a picture exactly how it is. I studied Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University where I came to develop my craft of using bright colours and bold brush strokes in my portraits and since then I have fine tuned my style, however I do still paint in other styles including black and white and realistic.
